Joining a class with a code
For Students · Parents · Teachers
Your teacher will read out or project a code of eight characters, like RG75BNFN. It never contains the letter O or the digit 0, or the letter I or the digit 1, so there is nothing to guess at.
Go to the Join page, type the code and choose a password. That is the whole process — you do not need an email address, and neither do your parents.
The code decides what you join as. A student code makes a student; a parent code links you to your own child. You are never asked to pick your own role.
If the code does not work, the message will not tell you whether it was wrong or expired. That is deliberate: it stops somebody guessing codes to find out which schools exist. Ask your teacher to read it out again.
A code can expire or be switched off by the teacher who made it.
