What the tutor will not do
For Students · Parents · Teachers
Ask for help on a question that belongs to homework that is still open and graded, and the tutor will not give you the worked answer. It climbs a ladder instead: a nudge, then a hint, then a bigger one.
Before you take a rung you are shown what it costs. Nothing is ever deducted without you choosing it — looking at the price is a different action from paying it.
On practice you set yourself, the ladder is more generous, because nobody is being marked.
If the tutor cannot work out which assignment a question belongs to, it treats it as graded. It fails closed on purpose.
Self-practice never reaches the marks register. You can get something wrong in private.
